this blog is where I share my favorite workout’s, healthy recipes and all my tips and tricks on how to lose weight as a woman over 40.
Why I created the skinny apple
I’m a 51-year-old Florida gal who launched this blog in 2018. When I had just lost 43 pounds and went from 209 pounds to 165 pounds.
I started my weight loss journey in 2013. At the time there were hardly any websites dedicated to helping women over 40 get fit. That is why I decided to share my experience and help women my age lose weight and feel confident again.
I named my blog “the skinny apple” after my favorite snack: apples. They’re colorful sweet and zesty just like me!

…. I know how hard it is to resist temptations every day. To cling to your goals, and to constantly stay motivated. But I want to remind you that it’s possible to succeed and that you will reach your goal weight. And I can help you do that.
